Huh, what? So we just roll out software that completely changes our interface. And don’t send email to our customers or say boo about it on our website? I am not being a snot but yes Juki America you could do better running the company with puppies and kittens as employees! I called and left Joe Eller a voicemail about this, this morning. For crying in the milk WHY JUST WHY?
It is not that I am not excited to have the new software for my $7000 robotics system. I just would have liked a heads up, maybe some resources on how this is going to change my experience maybe some coffee before I saw this something, anything… really..!!!!!!!!!!
Being an IT professional who sets up computer systems for companies from 1 person to 1000’s I know you need to prepare them for new rollouts. You don’t just hand them something and don’t even say good luck.
Here is a screenshot you all make what it what you will about what version it is? Looks to me like V4? And I swear on a stack of bibles when I loaded it the first time it was the old interface and in V3. Then I hit the upgrade button
There are some who say this is a grace issue I don’t agree. I didn’t buy this software or the robotics from grace regardless of who actually developed it or what their backend partnership is. I bought it from Juki and it has Juki’s name on it, not Grace. Let me you an example. I buy a Chevy truck. It might have a Hemi engine in it. Do I go to Hemi to fix my issue? NO I go to Chevy who put the warranty on my vehicle. Come on now let’s stop doing summer salts to absolve Juki of their obligation to their users who spend $15K with their company.
To quote a member of our Juki group made today: “The only training Juki wants to give you now you have to pay for it! We all spent a lot of money buying our machine and robotics information should be available to us! I talked to a Grace tech the other day he was very helpful he offered to upgrade mine to 4 but I told him I wasn’t ready yet. I think I will wait awhile just in case there are problems with it. APQS gives loads of free information to their customers. They have been very helpful with info on quilt path. Which is pretty much the same as our robotics.
Riddle me this. Why is Grace and even APQS doing a better job of supporting Juki Longarm’s than Juki America?

Update May 18, 2018
Well, it only took 3 months but finally, someone from Juki decided to tell the world about the release o the Quilter Creative Touch from 3 to 4 update. This scantly informative post was placed on Karen Pfarr’s private blog. Still nothing official from any of the Juki’s confusing multitude of official sites.
Maybe it is me but wouldn’t have been nice to have official posts on the official company sites. One that might outline the benefits of doing the update? Since there is so much confusion around what happens and what you get if you choose to do this update.
